The New York City-based Grant Wilfley Casting company has put out an open call for non-union Albany locals for paid background casting on the HBO satirical comedy drama “Succession.”
The show follows an aging patriarch of an international media conglomerate grappling with family loyalty, power and control. Created by Jesse Armstrong, it premiered in June 2018 and has been nominated and awarded for accolades in writing, directing and performances by several critics choice awards including BAFTA and the Golden Globes. Season two of “Succession” will premiere Aug. 11.
Casting is in search of men, women, and children age 9-12 of all ethnicities to portray park goers, joggers, pedestrians, “homeless” types, politician and senate types as well as real parent and child duos.
Indoor and outdoor filming will take place Monday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 2 in Albany.
Actors must have full day availability in order to take part in the production, be local to the Albany area and able to self report. All adult actors must be 18 years or older and all minors must have a valid New York child performer work permit and trust account (or be willing to obtain the documentation). All actors must have valid, unexpired U.S.-issued identification for the I-9 paperwork.

-If submitting a minor, please note their age and date of birth. Please also note whether you are also willing to work on camera with your child in the scene. Otherwise, please confirm you are over 18.
-If submitting a minor, please note if the minor has a work permit and trust account.
-Note that you are fully avail for July 1-2.
-Note which form of identification you can provide for your I-9, including whether you have a restricted ID or visa of any kind.
