Speaking of Climate: Being, Thinking, & Moving
This public, interdisciplinary panel discussion on climate change is led by dance artist Jody Sperling, (above) whose work seeks to bridge the gap between human and nature, art and science, mind and body. Sperling will be joined by Alice Bradley, Assistant Professor of Geosciences, Nicole Brown, Assistant Professor of Classics, and Shanti Pillai, Assistant Professor of Theatre. The unique perspectives of the panelists will reflect upon the existential threat that climate change poses to our way of being, and how we may enact change through our work. What are the pathways to moving past despair and apathy and toward action?

Jessica Wayde Coles, co-founder of the Power Breakfast Club, special education teacher, school improvement specialist, and doctoral research fellow will facilitate a conversation about the different types of stressors at work that frequently contribute to a hostile work environment. She will share tips about navigating PWI work spaces, setting boundaries, power dynamics and also touch on how employers can be poverty conscious, anti-racist and solo-mother friendly. The Lift Series: Organ Colossal

Beyond Suffrage: Women’s Clubs of Greater Glens Falls
Using collections from The Folklife Center archives, including pamphlets, programs, newspaper clippings, artifacts, and cookbooks, this exhibition curated by librarian/historian Tisha Dolton focuses on local women’s clubs and their ties to the Woman Suffrage Movement. “Beyond Suffrage” is the sister exhibition to “Woman Suffrage in Warren & Washington Counties: 1883-1917” on view now at Warren County Historical Society.

Saratoga Art Pantry Launch Party
Saratoga Art Pantry is an initiative created by Transitional Services Association (TSA) – A place to collect and store art supplies in an effort to advance art therapy in Saratoga County. Sketch Club
Enjoy the tradition of sketching from original works of art in the museum’s collection and special exhibitions.
