Albany filmmaker Michael Sloman is debuting his short film “Our Harlem” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening via a Vimeo stream. This is a free event.

The 18-minute movie will be followed by a Q & A with the cast and crew. Written and directed by Sloman and Larry C. Robinson, “Our Harlem” takes place In the midst of the opioid epidemic in a gentrified Harlem, where an interracial couple seek common ground with their African-American neighbors to combat a serial predator police detective.

Immediately following the Q & A, the team will air a promotional video for their next project, “Dark Odyssey”
