The James Franco directed movie “The Pretenders,” filmed locally in 2016, will debut at The Palace Theatre in Albany on Oct 5.
Some of the film was shot at the theatre and it plays prominently in the film’s promotional posters.
Franco directs the film and stars alongside Juno Temple, Jack Kilmer, Shameik Moore and Jane Levy.
The film follows a love triangle between a film student, his friend and an actress over a number of years.
