Sawyer Fredericks
Sawyer Fredericks, winner of the eighth season of “The Voice” in 2015, will be performing at Caffe Lena. Coming from his family’s farm in central New York, Fredericks is bring to you live a jam of “beyond-his-years lyrics and melodies,” as well as “raw, soulful vocals.”

X with Skating Polly

Stand Up and Act Out with Aaron Moore
The actor and teaching artist will lead you through a series of fun, theatrical exercises to help release tension and de-stress.

Art Omi Summer Opening in the Park
Explore the recently installed work in the Sculpture and Architecture Park, as well as
To Be Of Use,” a solo exhibition by David Shrigley in the Newmark Gallery. Melissa Auf der Maur, Arone Dyer, and Rebecca Ruth Borrer will perform using Shrigley’s Problem Guitars at 3 p.m. in celebration of the opening. Children and families can embark on a collaborative building project at the Art Omi Block Party in the Education Pavilions until 4 p.m.

MASS MoCA Turns 20
Check out the free opening reception of works by Annie Lennox and Cauleen Smith as well as “Suffering For Realness.” Stay for the Block Party on the lawn with live music, performance art and open studios. Free Screening: “Wrestle”
High school wrestlers Jailen, Jamario, Teague and Jaquan fight their way to the state championship while grappling with injustices and challenges on and off the mat in this coming of age indie film that addresses the complexities of class and race in the South.

‘The Passion of Joan Arc’ with live music   
Carl Theodor Dreyer’s silent age film tells the story of the famously martyred 15th-century teenage warrior. The premiere of a new score by Gene Pritsker will be performed by Pritsker and Rocco Anthony Jerry.

Playwriting Workshop with Richard Dresser
Troy Foundry Theatre presents this workshop for writers of all abilities. Renowned playwright Richard Dresser will be in town preparing for the premiere of “100 Years” and will help guide you through your creative blocks and share new ways of storytelling. Stitched: Model Workshop
Stitched Casting Director and Runway Instructor Khang Le (CNY) will lead this workshop for models interested professional runway and fashion industry training. Le will cover runway skills, a modeling industry rundown, casting call advice and guidelines and self-management skills–from social media to the professional profile. Depending on attendance, an additional 3 p.m. workshop may be added.

Fashion Insiders: Pop-up Spring Photoshoot
Come network, develop your portfolio and practice your poses at this Fashion Insiders event. Models who arrive for the photoshoot will receive complimentary professional makeup for the shoot, three digital shots and one print photo from the three spring-inspired sets and 100 comp cards.

Charming Disaster with Melora Cramer
The Brooklyn goth-folk duo is on tour ahead of the release of their third album, SPELLS + RITUALS. Inspired by murder ballads, goth humor, crime, mythology and the supernatural, the duo achieved cult fame after the hit podcast “Welcome to Night Vale” featured their song “Ghost Story.” The “steampunk queen” of the anachronistic cello-rock ensemble Rasputina, Melora Cramer, will open.

Design Hudson 2019
Participating designers in this year’s Design Hudson will express their own contemporary interpretations of the palette, landscape and outlook of Hudson Valley painters Thomas Cole and Frederic Church. Explore the historic architecture of Hudson and the region’s up-and-coming design talent through tours, art talks and special events throughout the weekend.

GottaGetGon Music Festival
Like good, old-fashioned folk? Come down to this festival to listen to some young, fresh talent take the stage with authentic music that makes you want to dance! Or, if you have music in your blood, be one of those performers yourself. Some featured artists from last year’s festival include Patti Casey, Pint & Dale – William Pint and Felicia Dale and Colin McCafferty.
