Felicity Jones is the owner and curator of Superior Merchandise Co. in Troy, the specialty cafe and shop full of all sorts of goodies–from greeting cards and inspirational print publications, to handmade dishware, home decor and jewelry. When she’s not accommodating our monthly shows on the patio and other community events (check out their website for crafting, poetry readings, mom meetups and more), Jones is hard at work crafting her new coffee company, Touchy Coffee, as well as searching for more locally made goods to fill up SMCO. Here are a few items that have made the top of her holiday wish list:
Like Minded Objects Face Mirror — This cutie is at the very top of my wish list right now. Made locally in Hudson by artist Elise McMahon, this heavy duty wood, hand-painted handsome statement piece is perfect for any room that you wanna gaze at yourself in!

A bottle of wine from 22 Second Street Wine Co. in Troy. The only natural wine shop in the Capital Region is stocked full of special and hard to find gems. Corey [Mitchell] and Heather really know their stuff and can always point you in the right direction. My current fav is the Martha Stoumen Post Flirtation Rosé. Cute label, woman-owned, tastes like an orange creamsicle…what more can you ask for?

Woman Artists A to Z Book — Written and illustrated by Capital Region’s own Melanie LeBarge and Caroline Corrigan! A perfect alphabet picture book featuring stories and images of 26 women artists from a wide variety of artistic disciplines. Being published by Penguin Books in early 2020, but you can preorder now!
We desperately need to educate about women artists more and what better way to do that than by supporting two of our very own?
