If you missed the first two Superior Merchandise Co. patio shows hosted by The Collaborative magazine, we have a trio of shows coming up to get excited about. As always there is a $5 suggested donation for the bands playing each show.
JULY 21, 3 PM
You’ll have another chance to lounge on the SMCO patio in this summer heat for an Americana-roots themed Sunday Funday. Have you seen the bowls and avo toast they’re slinging at that Troy cafe?
Show up for brunch and stick around for a show featuring Troy’s own indie folk-rock Blue Ranger, who booked this fabulous lineup of Americana, roots and folk artists from out of town!
Friendship (ambient Americana from Philadelphia)
Seamstress ( “sad Springsteen” indie folk-pop from Jersey)
Lina Tullgren ( experimental singer-songwriter from Queens)
JULY 26, 7:30 PM
Head across the river to Albany Distilling Co. Bar + Bottle Shop for Troy-based R&B and soul artist Charles O’More. He will play with a full band, coming off of the release of his second EP The Good News.
Albany’s own Lone Phone Booth joins the bill, whose 2018 EP “MUSIC FOR THE FAINT OF HEART” will reach out and grab you.
AUGUST 30, 7:30 PM
Close out your summer right at Albany Distilling Co. Bar + Bottle Shop, with a blend of beats, hip hop and raucous punk rock.
Albany beat artist Soo Do Koo, dropped a mixtape, chandelier, in April.
Albany hip hop artist OZHE has been busy playing shows all summer, solidifying his name as one of the most intentional and promising hip hop acts in the region.
The Troy-based grungy punk rock crew Candy Ambulance will knock your socks off, steal ’em and never give them back. You’ll find yourself thanking them for it.
There may be more where these shows came from so be sure to stay tuned by following The Collaborative on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
