Screening: ‘The Death and Life of Martha P. Johnson’
Hosted by OutHudson, check out this Academy Award-nominated director David France’s “whodunnit” documentary focuses on the murder of self-described “street queen” Marsha P. Johnson, a legendary fixture in New York City’s gay ghetto, who was found floating in the Hudson River in 1992. Though the NYPD pegged her death as a suicide, her community rejected the claim. The film celebrates Johnson’s life and work, while analyzing her unexplained death.
