The Upstate Theater Coalition for a Fairgame announces a new grant opportunity for non-profit arts and cultural organizations in three New York state regions: Capital, Catskills, and Southern Tier. Organizations based in 27 counties including Albany, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, and Washington are eligible to apply for grants of $1,000 to $5,000. The application deadline is March 11.

The Upstate Theatre Coalition for a Fairgame was created in partnership with casinos in the three gaming regions: Rivers Casino & Resort Schenectady, Resorts World Catskills, del Lago Resort & Casino and Tioga Downs Casino Resort. Local coalition members include the Palace Performing Arts Center, Proctors, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs City Center, Times Union Center and Troy Savings Bank Music Hall.

Funding priorities are programming that is new and projects that integrate the arts with community goals and needs.
