Auditions: Blackout Creative Arts Festival
Citizen Action of New York is holding auditions for their first annual Blackout Festival, a celebration and day of action commemorating Black August and the sacrifices made by past and present liberation movements. Artists must perform pieces that resonate with black bodies and their experiences (no more than three works can be shown during the audition) and be entertaining. This is the last chance to audition. The festival takes place Aug. 24. Contact Amy Jones at aajones@citizenactionny.org with questions or concerns.

Beck and Cage the Elephant

Check out our interview with the band, wear some sunscreen, drink a lot of beer and go to the afterparty and you’ll be fine.
