A celebration of accessible art and hometown pride, the “Schenectady and Me” project is a series of over 400 collages made by locals interpreting elements of the city they love. SLOC is looking for actors to fill individual character and chorus ensemble roles for this classic play. Actors 15 to 18 years old will be considered for the ensemble roles. Actors should prepare to read from the script and perform 16-32 measures from a Broadway musical of their choosing with their own sheet music and a resume. Due to inclimate weather the second day of auditions are cancelled and new auditions will be held before callbacks Wednesday, Feb. 13. Call for art: The Chair Show exhibit at Nine Pin Cider
Artists are encouraged to use their preferred medium to transform the vintage wooden school desks at Albany Barn (from its previous life as St. Joseph’s Academy) into unique works of art. Auditions: Going Dark Productions regional premiere of the Off-Broadway play “Puffs, Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic” by Matt Cox
Going Dark is looking to actors 18 and older to fill 11 roles, six will play multiple characters. The play will take place at Albany Barn June 28-29 and July 11-13.
For auditions, prepare a silly accent and a 1-2 minute comedic monologue. Sides will be provided.
