The opening of The Lumberyard arts facility in Catskill in September 2018 made people stand up and take notice of the town’s cultural offerings. But there was already a lot of reason to pay attention. From Bridge Street Theatre’s original productions, Crossroads Brewing Co, Hi Lo Cafe’s tasty offerings and performance space, and Spike’s Record Rack’s expansive selection there were plenty of reasons to visit.

Artists like Joe Mama Nitzberg and Rodney Greenblat have taken up residence, bringing vibrancy and expertise to the local arts scene. With this year’s opening of The Avalon Lounge, there is no excuse not to get to town.
