Schenectady & Me Human Mosaic Event
Show up and grab a mosaic tile to hold over your head while a drone captures this community artwork overhead in the hopes of creating the largest human mosaic in the region. Afterwards, a new community sculptural bench will be unveiled.

Karene Faul Alumni Show 2019 Reception

AUDITION: ‘Pride & Prejudice’

Steve Turre
The Californian jazz trombonist, composer, arranger,and educator (as well as a pioneer of using seashells as instruments) has been active in jazz, rock, and Latin jazz  for 55 years. Turre has performed and produced work in live venues, recording studios, television and film. He has been a member of the Saturday Night Live Band since 1984.

Arabic Calligraphy Workshop
Nada Odeh will lead this workshop with a presentation about Arabic calligraphy and its styles, a demonstration of how it is written and what materials are used. Participants will be able to practice writing the Arabic calligraphy. This workshop is a companion to NY Folklore’s current exhibit of traditional Turkish paper marbling by ebru artist and Buffalo resident Hatice Erbas-Sorkunlu.
