Drums and Drones, Wendy Eisenberg, Vic Rawlings
The meditative solo project of Brian Chase, drummer for the rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs and NYC’s experimental music scene, Drums and Drones will be performed both acoustically and electronically. Opening Lecture: ‘Ida O’Keeffe: Untimely Ambitions and Obstacles Unforeseen’
Sue Canterbury, the Pauline Gill Sullivan Associate Curator of American Art at the Dallas Museum of Art and curator of the exhibition “Ida O’Keeffe: Escaping Georgia’s Shadow,” will discuss the life and work of Ida Ten Eyck O’Keeffe. The sister of famed artist Georgia O’Keeffe also had an artistic capability but struggled to find access to galleries and exhibition opportunities.
