Basilica Hudson just announced the initial lineup for 24-Hour Drone. Drone is a strikingly unique and challenging experience where attendees submit themselves to a days worth of experimental and traditional drone performances without a moment’s silence.

This may sound hyperbolic, but the experience has consistently been transcendental for me. Perhaps its the way the light enters the factory windows, the way concertgoers burrow themselves under blankets on the floor prone to the soundwaves that wash over them, or just the sleep deprivation but whatever it is, 24-Hour Drone is something that has to be experienced to be understood.

Stand-out artists include sitar maestro Ustad Shafaat Khan, Angel Deradoorian formerly of Dirty Projectors, and AHRKH a member of British noise collective Gnod.

Expect more artist announcements in the coming days.

Drone will take place April 27 to April 28. Tickets are $36.
